The World of Hydrogen Exhibition
The Central Finland Mobility Foundation (Cefmof) will open a new, free exhibition titled World of Hydrogen at the Aalto2 Museum Centre in Jyväskylä on April 11. The exhibition illustrates the potential of green hydrogen in Central Finland by highlighting hydrogen innovations and practical use cases. It offers insights and inspiration for both professionals in the field and newcomers interested in the topic.
World of Hydrogen is an updated and expanded version of Cefmof’s popular 2024 exhibition Green Hydrogen Power. The content has been developed based on visitor feedback and input from local hydrogen ecosystem partners. The exhibition focuses particularly on green hydrogen and its relevance to everyday life in Central Finland — now and in the future. It is designed for visitors of all ages who wish to explore the universe’s most abundant element: hydrogen.
The exhibition showcases how green hydrogen, as a clean energy source, is already influencing industries, transport, and energy infrastructure — and how its role is expected to grow. One of the key themes is the use of hydrogen in transportation and its contribution to Central Finland’s journey toward carbon neutrality.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of hydrogen through multisensory experiences. Videos, illustrations, models, and practical demonstrations guide guests through the process of hydrogen production and its various applications. The exhibition features, among other things, real-life mockups and new technological solutions.
The exhibition is organized by Cefmof in cooperation with the Aalto2 Museum Centre, JAMK University of Applied Sciences, the University of Jyväskylä, and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. The exhibition will be open until the end of 2025.
“Cefmof plays a unique role in enabling hydrogen’s integration into everyday life and acting as a communicator of hydrogen knowledge. The aim of the exhibition is to make the possibilities of hydrogen understandable and tangible for everyone. We want to bring hydrogen-related knowledge close to where everyday decisions are made,” says Netta Hongisto, Program Manager responsible for the exhibition.
