PROJECTS
Green Hydrogen Exhibition
OBJECTIVES:
One of our key objectives is to raise citizen’s awareness about the potential of hydrogen. By organizing an informative and interactive exhibition “Vihreä vetyvoima” (”Green hydrogen power”), we aim to make both benefits and challenges of green hydrogen tangible for the public—with a special focus on children and their families. Our goal is to spark interest in green hydrogen as a key enabler of sustainable urban development and mobility in Central Finland, and to encourage community involvement in green hydrogen-related co-creation.
ACTION:
At the core of the exhibition is a series of interactive displays and hands-on activities designed to educate and inspire visitors about the possibilities of green hydrogen. Enabled by the co-creation of local companies, academia, students, cultural institutions, and municipalities, the exhibition showcases Central Finland’s expertise and potential in green hydrogen. Opening on July 31st and continuing until the end of September, the exhibition will culminate with the City of Light and Researcher’s Night event.
PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS:
The exhibition is produced by Cefmof in collaboration with the Aalto2 Museum Center, Redanredan Oy, and Tiimiakatemia. The content is designed and created in cooperation with the University of Jyväskylä.

PROJECTS
Winter Mobility
OBJECTIVES:
The Winter Mobility project is dedicated to transforming street maintenance, making it efficient year-round, especially during the harsh winter conditions. Our objective is to ensure safer and more comfortable commuting for both residents and visitors in Jyväskylä, regardless of their mode of transportation.
ACTION:
At the heart of the project is a new cloud-based management system that continuously collects data from various sources and presents it in an easy-to-understand format for three primary user groups:
- Street users: Can check the current conditions of their chosen routes, no matter their way of transportation.
- Operative management: Can direct and prioritize daily maintenance work based on real-time information.
- Business management: Can analyze the costs and efficiency of different street maintenance tasks.
Throughout the project, several modern weather stations, cameras, and sensors will be installed and connected to the data platform. Additionally, the system will incorporate various types of information, including citizen feedback, fleet routes and performed operations, and cost information.
PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS:
The project is led by the City of Jyväskylä and supported by Cefmof. It also collaborates with the ProDigial Research Programme and involves multiple parties and suppliers from the infrastructure sector nationwide.
