Cefmof Showcased Jyväskylä’s Green Hydrogen Initiatives at Northern Power Business Forum 2025

Oulu, Finland – February 13, 2025 – Cefmof participated in Northern Power Business Forum 2025, a key industry event that brought together leaders, innovators, researchers, and policymakers to discuss the future of hydrogen energy in the Nordic region. Our Program Manager of Partnerships & Ecosystems, Esa Eerola, presented Jyväskylä’s ambitious hydrogen city buses and refueling station projects.
 

Northern Power Business Forum 

Held at Tapahtumakeskus Tullisali in Oulu, the event highlighted the latest advancements in Nordic hydrogen projects and shared insights from real-life applications in Arctic conditions. The program featured international keynote speakers, B2B matchmaking & networking opportunities, the TOP-10 Hydrogen Projects, and the Hydrogen Fleet Expo

As part of Nordic Hydrogen Week, the forum played a crucial role in strengthening the hydrogen ecosystem by fostering industry collaboration, showcasing Oulu’s commitment to the green transition, and reinforcing its position as the hydrogen capital of the Bothnian Arc. The event also provided a platform to explore cutting-edge research, policies, and innovations shaping the future of hydrogen energy in the region.

   

  

Cefmof’s Contribution: Jyväskylä’s Hydrogen City Buses and Refueling Station  

Cefmof’s Program Manager of Partnerships & Ecosystems, Esa Eerola, took the stage to present Jyväskylä’s ambitious hydrogen city buses and refueling station projects. In a four-minute pitch, Eerola outlined how Jyväskylä is pioneering the use of green hydrogen-powered buses in Finland. The initiative aims to integrate five hydrogen-fueled buses into the city’s public transportation network, supported by a new hydrogen refueling station. This project serves as a pilot to evaluate the performance of green hydrogen buses under Nordic conditions, contributing to the region’s sustainable urban mobility efforts.
