OVERVIEW
The Jyväskylä hydrogen refuelling project focuses on the development and deployment of a hydrogen refuelling station in Seppälänkangas. The project supports the introduction of hydrogen-powered transport by building practical experience with hydrogen infrastructure ahead of full commercial operations.
The station is currently operating in a pilot phase and is accessible only to designated pilot user groups, such as hydrogen buses and taxis participating in the trial.
This pilot phase enables the collection of valuable operational and technical data on hydrogen refuelling processes, station performance, and user interaction. The insights gained during this phase will be used to validate functionality, refine operational procedures, and prepare the station for broader public use.
Based on the outcomes of the pilot phase, the transition to full commercial operation is planned for later in 2026. Information on the commercial opening of the station will be communicated separately.
