Hydrogen Pitstop

During the Secto Rally Finland (July 31–August 2), Cefmof provided hands-on experience of hydrogen in Jyväskylä. Hydrogen Pitstop transformed three central locations in Jyväskylä into spaces where hydrogen is no longer just a future technology.

At each stop, visitors discovered real-world hydrogen innovations, enjoyed delicious hydrogen-cooked food, and took part in fun challenges designed to make clean energy understandable and engaging for everyone.

Hydrogen Pitstop was organized by Cefmof, the Central Finland Mobility Foundation. Our mission was to help people understand the practical potential of hydrogen and support its integration into daily life through knowledge-sharing, visibility, and hands-on experiences.

At Kirkkopuisto Park, visitors took a fun hydrogen-themed quiz and enjoy a pizza freshly baked in a hydrogen-powered oven.

At Harbour Park (Satamapuisto), visitors experience the hydrogen bus, treated themselves to ice cream or hydrogen-roasted coffee, and unwinded in a hydrogen sauna—just don’t forget to book in advance.

At Ruusupuisto Square, visitors raced hydrogen-powered RC cars, explored the “World of Hydrogen” exhibition, and concluded their visit with a tasty hamburger grilled using hydrogen.

Visitors could reach the event locations using free hydrogen bus services operating from the directions of Palokka, Vaajakoski, and Keljo.

Sticker Rally: collect, explore, discover

Every Hydrogen Pitstop location offered a unique event sticker. Visitors collected a sticker at each of the three locations and completed their stamp rally pass.

The stamp rally encouraged visitors to explore the full set of activities and better understand hydrogen’s many applications through a fun and rewarding experience.
